Value-based procurement goes under the spotlight at ACE event

Ways to achieve better, greener and more innovative solutions in the built environment go under the spotlight at an ACE webinar on June 26.

The event – Delivering Value-Based Procurement – has been organised the Association for Consultancy and Engineering.

Building on work ACE has already undertaken with Cabinet Office on ensuring that the Construction Playbook is being adhered to, this webinar will explore how to use influence and expertise to raise the standard of procurement across all projects.

ACE says the introduction of the Procurement Act provides an opportunity to raise the standard of project delivery.

Using the principles of value-based procurement, ACE is working with procurement bodies in the private and public sectors with the aim of getting the best, innovative and most fit for purpose bids awarded for contract.

The webinar takes place from 10-11am on June 26 and will include insights from:

  • ACE procurement vice chair Conor McCarthy - looking at contract management playbooks and construction playbook work.
  • Beale & Co - Paul Henty will discuss how defining value-based procurement and procurement law is important for industry.
  • National Highways - Jo Wilkes will discuss best practice for delivering social value-based procurement.
